Traditional Stucco systems are based on a simple design concept; combining building paper, stucco wire/hath, Portland Cement Base Coats, and Premixed Cement Finish Coat. The cement finish coat usually consists of white cement and white sand mixture that is mixed together in the field or the premix type where the Plasterer/Laborer simply adds water. The premix type is typically distributed by Imasco Minerals and Dry Mix (now owned by Burnco). The finish, aside from white, can be in a variety of colors as provided by the above distrubutors – Imasco and Dry Mix.
